So, who won the race? The Rabbit or the Tortoise?

In absolute fact, a tortoise can really run faster than a rabbit. Not only rabbit hops and does not run, but a tortoise can also sprint!

The fastest ever tortoise is named Bertie and ran at a speed of 0.6 miles per hour to get some strawberries in 1977, according to Reptiles magazine. Some turtles, however, are faster. The snapping turtle can reach more than 150 miles per hour in extremely short bursts under one second. (https://reptilesmagazine.com/)

Special insights: Not only tortoise and its cousin turtle can move and swim fast, but it can also climb walls!  As tame as you might think, the toad-headed turtle (Phrynops nasutus), with a soft shell, recorded a bite force of 432 newtons. The snapping turtle having an average bite force of 209 newtons does not hide its head and will give your bones a good crush too.
