You’ve heard right. There is no salary, and you are expected to work hard. If you’re not happy with either, you’re not who we’re looking for 😉. The Worst Job in the World challenge is designed to test your mettle as an aspiring entrepreneur. Our operating philosophy is based on a bunch of IFs.

THE WORST JOB IN THE WORLD CHALLENGE
TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

A. GENERAL

  1. The Worst Job in The World” (the “Challenge”) is a competition challenge produced by Mega X World LLP, in collaboration with Eduium.io (the education arm of NFT Ventures LLP). Collectively to be known as the “Organising Committee”.
  2. By participating in this online application (“Online Application”) to be selected as a contestant for the Challenge, through our website (eduium.io/worstjob) (the “Website”), you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

B. ELIGIBILITY

  1. For an Online Application to be valid for consideration, you shall be required to satisfy the following conditions:
    1. must be a citizen or Permanent Resident of Singapore / Malaysia / Indonesia;
    2. must be at least 18 years of age;
    3. must be of sound health and physically capable of participating in the Challenge (in this regard, you may be required to provide medical certification); and
    4. must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
  2. Contestants hereby agree that their participation in the Online Application and Challenge may contain risks of physical injury, and participants fully accept responsibility for all such risks as a condition of participation in the Online Application and Challenge. Organising Committee also recommends you consult with your doctor and refrain from participation if you have any serious illnesses, or heart conditions, or are pregnant.

C. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS AND SELECTION

Interested contestants to submit only one (01) Online Application, through our Website (www.eduium.io/worstjob):

  1. Fill in the necessary information on the Website, including details on your name, birthday, email, and mobile number.
  2. Record a video of yourself, with a duration of one (1) minute, and tell us why you want to take part in this Challenge, with the opening “I am the one because…”. Upload to a video hosting/file sharing platform (e.g., YouTube, Google Drive) and include the link in the Online Application
  3. In the Online Application, describe your:
    • Top 3 worst habits
    • Soft skills that you are proud to flaunt
    • Most valuable task ever performed
    • The most outrageous wishful task you aim to complete in 2023
  4. Twenty (20) contestants shall be selected to participate in the Challenge. The selection shall be made solely at Organising Committee‘s discretion, and Organising Committee‘s decision shall be final. Further, your participation in the Challenge shall be subject to execution of a participation agreement, release, confidentiality agreement or any other written contracts which Organising Committee may require in its sole discretion.
  5. All responses will be reviewed and replied to by us!

E. Selection Process

  1. Preliminary Selection: After all entries are reviewed by Organising Committee, a maximum of 20 contestants to be selected to proceed to the first round of the challenge.
  2. First Round: Of the 20 contestants, only 10 will move on to the next round.
  3. Second Round: Here, the top 10 contestants will compete to earn their place in one of the three spots in the final round.
  4. Final Round: The final 3 contestants to compete for the winning post.

F. PRIZES

Two (02) aspiring entrepreneurs will be selected as prize recipients of the Worst Job in the World challenge.

  1. First recipient (winner): (a) Choice of one roundtrip paid flight to Bali or Phuket or Taiwan; (b) S$1,000.00 cash; (c) Potential to receive up to 5% company shares* and choice to continue the entrepreneurial journey.
  2. Second recipient (runner-up): (a) S$500.00 cash; (b) S$500.00 worth of tech gadgets; (c) Potential to receive up to 5% company shares* and choice to continue the entrepreneurial journey.

* To be awarded under the full discretion of the Organising Committee. Awarded company shares to be either from Mega X World LLP or NFTs Ventures LLP. Prizes are subject to availability and the Organising Committee reserve the right to amend and change the prizes at its discretion without prior notice.

G. DATA PRIVACY

The Organising Committee only collects, processes, transfers and secures your personal data in connection with the Online Application and the Challenge, and in accordance with all applicable data protection laws in conjunction with this Challenge.  You are not obligated to provide the Organising Committee with personal data and any information collected by Organising Committee will be provided by you at your own will and with your explicit consent granted herein by submission of an Online Application.

All participating candidates agree and abide by Singapore’s PDPA rules and regulations by giving consent to the Organising Committee for controlling and processing personal data throughout the period of the contest. All data submitted will be completely erased after the contest has been completed. All individuals have the right to unsubscribe at any point in time.

H. RELEASE

By participating in the Online Application and submitting a video (“Submitted Video”) through the Website, you hereby irrevocably grant to the Organising Committee and/or its affiliates, in perpetuity, an exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable and freely transferable right to use, edit, reproduce, prepare derivative works, adapt, post, stream, copy, display, perform, transmit, broadcast, and otherwise exploit the Submitted Video, in whole or in part, alone or in conjunction with other material, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in perpetuity throughout the world, for purposes in connection with the Challenge (including without limitation, advertising, promotion, merchandise, redistribution or any other lawful purpose), without additional compensation, consideration, notification or permission, except where prohibited by law. You hereby warrant and represent that the Submitted Video does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights and you shall indemnify and hold harmless Organising Committee and/or its affiliates from and against any and all third-party claims, actions or proceedings of any kind from any and all damages, liabilities, costs and expenses of any nature.

I. MISCELLANEOUS

  1. These terms and conditions in connection with the Online Application shall be governed by the laws of Singapore.
  2. By participating in the contest, interested contestants expressly grant permission to the Organising Committee and its agencies to use the interested contestant’s submission, name, photograph, video and/or likeness for purposes of advertising, editorial, promotional, marketing, trade and/or other purposes without further compensation and notice, unless prohibited by law.
  3. The Organising Committee reserves the right:
    1. at any time, at its sole discretion, to change, amend, revise, supplement, delete, vary or add to these terms and conditions without prior notice to any participants and all participants shall be bound to such changes, amendments, revisions, supplements, deletions, variations or additions
    2. at any time, at its sole discretion, to change any aspect of the Online Application and Challenge (including discontinuing the Online Application or Challenge) without prior notice
    3. at any time, at its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, modify or delay the Online Application and Challenge in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
    4. at any time, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any interested contestants that are found or suspected of tampering with the Online Application submission process, the operation of this Online Application or to be in violation of the terms and conditions, or for no reason at all.
  4. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE ORGANISING COMMITTEE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS) OR PERSONAL INJURY SUFFERED OR SUSTAINED IN CONNECTION WITH THE ONLINE APPLICATION AND CHALLENGE.
