Namira has been training and working at Art@Metta since 2018, producing batik and pottery art pieces. Diagnosed with mild intellectual disability, Namira has a keen eye for patterns which are reflected in her artwork. She is able to comprehend instructions well and is motivated to complete the commissioned work assigned to her.
Since 2008, Chee Meng has been training and working at Arts@Metta producing complex batik and art pieces. His skill in the arts has grown leaps and bounds. Diagnosed with mild intellectual disability, his employment at Arts@Metta enables him to lead an independent life and integrate in the community. In his free time, Chee Meng enjoys planting and watching Korean dramas.

Established since 1994, Metta Welfare Association (Metta) provides a range of social service programs to over 1,400 clients from diverse backgrounds and age groups. At Metta, we offer services such as children care, special education, youth employment support, disability care, and medical care. Arts@Metta, one of our Youth Employment Support programme, aims to empower youths with special needs through visual arts, teaching them skills in batik, watercolor painting, and pottery. The program allows them to curate and customize art pieces and retail products suitable for everyone.
At Metta Welfare Association, we seek to build a society that is caring, gracious and inclusive. We constantly think about how we can pivot, adapt, and remain relevant in the society and the digital age. How to Buy?
- To start, create 2 accounts with Eduium.io (a subsidiary of NFTs Ventures) and MightyPoll.com (a subsidiary of MegaX). Please sign up using the same email address for both Eduium.io and MightyPoll.com accounts. This allows you to purchase the physical art pieces and/or its NFT, and for us to send you the delivery and redemption details. - Once you have your MightyPoll account, you can purchase the art pieces by clicking on the respective link of the art pieces here, or by clicking on the “Feeds” tab in MightyPoll.
- To purchase an art piece (physical or NFT), you must input your credit card information during check out. As we want to ensure a more seamless process, all transactions are done with Singapore dollars instead of cryptocurrencies. The physical art pieces come with a NFT version as well. Thus, make sure your Opensea account wallet address is indicated in Eduium.io
- At the MightyPoll website, select the art piece you want to purchase and click “Buy”. Next, follow the on-screen prompts to complete your transaction.
- If you would like to purchase an NFT art piece only, follow the same steps as above and make sure you have your OpenSea account wallet address indicated in your user profile on Eduium.io. The NFT will then be transferred to this wallet address after verification.
- Upon completion, an email is sent to you on the delivery and redemption details of your purchase.
